“Island Nights” began with a cocktail reception sponsored by Gold Benefactor Bacardi USA, Inc., and entertainment by Jazz Musician, Julius Sanna, in the museum’s Grand Hall. Grand Benefactor Saks Fifth Avenue Palm Beach presented a New York-style runway fashion show featuring Oscar de la Renta’s Spring 2018 Collection. In the Spring 2018 collection, Laura and Fernando were inspired by Oscar’s love of art and color: featuring bright, vivid hues; paint splatters and scribble prints; and Oscar’s signature logo.  The collection is fun and youthful, while remaining classic and chic.   Following the fashion show, guests enjoyed dinner and dancing in the shadows of Flagler’s personal railcar with music by our own Marjorie Gubelmann, known as DJ “Mad Marj”, who kept the party lively.

“Thanks to all of our generous, committed supporters and sponsors, Palm Beach Island Hospice Foundation can continue to help those in need of Hospice services and their families,” said Mark W. Cook, President of Palm Beach Island Hospice Foundation.  “We were thrilled to have the legendary fashions of Oscar de la Renta featured on the runway as we celebrated our 35th anniversary supporting the important local programs of Hospice,” Cook added.
