The Ferrari Club of America, Hill Country Chater is a group of Ferrari owners and enthusiasts located in the Texas Hill Country. The Chapter celebrated the 2018 Ferrari Club of America Formula 1 Reception on Friday, October 19, 2018, at the Austin Country Club. The exclusive evening celebrated the festivities that Formula 1 brings to the United States with the US Grand Prix that has appeal for the thrill seekers of Ferrari owners and Scuderia Ferrari fans. Andy Fish, the president of the Hill Country Chapter of the Ferrari Club of America, once again hosted one of the hottest and eminent parties for F1 and Scuderia Ferrari fans.
The Scuderia Ferrari fans must be very excited now after Kimi Raikkonen’s win at the Circuit of the Americas on Sunday, October the 21st during the United States Grand Prix.
The reception had the presence of special guests such as Ferrari F1 driver Antonio Giovinazzi, Mark Sutton of Sutton Images, 1990 Lemans winner Price Cobb, Formula 1 Producer Jason Swales, president of the Ferrari Club of America Jim Meek, the beautiful 1953 166MM Ferrari of John and Lisa Weinberger, and the 488GTD of Pierre Mulacek.
The attendees were encouraged to bring their own Ferraris to the reception which is what always makes the reception so unique. After a wonderful dinner that included beef tenderloin and crawfish cake, the event had marvelous music performed by the 2-time Grammy winner and 4-time Hall of Fame inductee Jason Roberts.
The eye-catching artwork of Shannon Mateljan Fannin was on display during the magical evening and featured her work” new 2002 F1 Ferrari” and “a giclee of an F40.” Shannon sold two pieces and a portion of the proceeds is planned to be donated to the children at the Texas School for the Blind, an organization that the Ferrari Club of America, Hill Country Chapter has been working with for the past two years.
Jacques Vaucher brought his fabulous display of Ferrari memorabilia one more time to the distinguished celebration. The 2018 Texas artist of the year nominee, Shannon Fannin, displayed her amazingly realistic paintings of the 2002 Ferrari F1 car and a F40.
The Ferrari Club of America( FCA) and Ferrari sponsor, Kaspersky, secured Ferrari the Formula 1 driver, Antonio Giovinazzi, to make an appearance and speech at the reception. Giovinazzi has been driving for Scuderia Ferrari for the last two years as the third driver. He will be moving next year to Sauber Alfa Romeo along with Kimi Raikkonen.
