On a balmy July night in the heart of West Hollywood, atop of rooftop with beautiful views of the city, Sutton Stracke, who has become a fan favorite on Bravo’s Real Housewives of Beverly Hills launched her Green Label Brand Capsule. Stracke, who has been in the fashion world for the past 5 years owns SUTTON, a concept store in Los Angeles, where she shares her love of art, fashion, design, and more. As a lifelong lover of fashion, this housewife knows what’s in style and on trend and is bringing that to her customers.
With her Green Label Brand Capsule, Stracke is not only sharing fashion forward pieces, she is participating in circular fashion – an approach to reduce waste and maximize the lifespan of clothing and textiles. Stracke is saving clothing from being discarded to a landfill, and repurposing it, putting her own fashionable spin on pieces that might have not otherwise seen the light of day. She had blazers and jumpsuits with funnky patches, including one RHOBH fans will know well, “Name ‘Em.” It’s an incredible venture, one that hopefully more designers and fashion trendsetters will make. Circular fashion is a fashionistas way of helping to save the planet.
Mingling among the the fashion show attendees was the entire cast of ladies from the upcoming season of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, including Stracke’s close pal Garcelle Beauvais – whose teenage son, Jax took to his first catwalk for the fashion show. While both Garcelle and Jax said they were nervouse for his strut down the runway, he did a phenomenal job and looked like a natural. RHOBH’s Dorit Kemsley, Kyle Richards, Erica Jayne (who brought along her mother), Kathy Hilton and newcomer Bozoma Saint John cheered on Stracke from the front row. Actress Jennifer Tilly, another close friend of Stracke’s walked in the show, while fellow Bravolebs Lala Kent (Vanderpum Rules), Scheana Shay (Vanderpump Rules), Michelle Lally (The Valley) and Janet Caperna (The Valley) were also in attendance.
The night showed two things – that Bravolebs, even amid all their quarelling truly support one another and that fast fashion doesn’t have to be the norm. There are small steps designers and shoppers alike can take to make fashion circular and Sutton Stracke is helping lead the way.
