Chicagoans have the opportunity of welcoming TRUST IN LOVE, the latest film from writer/director/producer Mick Davis, as it begins its theatrical roadshow at Highland Park’s Wayfarer Theaters August 11, ahead of its North American debut on VOD from Gravitas Ventures August 13.
Diving deep into the heart of resilience and love, TRUST IN LOVE—based on a true story—is a film that promises to move and inspire viewers. Mickey Ferrara (Jimi Petulla) teeters at life’s crossroads: his record producing career is going down the tubes, his estranged wife wants a divorce, and his son, who tells the story, is struggling with his sexuality. His only wingman is his beach bum brother Bobby (Tim Hazelip). Although plunged into adversity, Mickey is above all else a warrior and he’s poised to make a valiant stand, get in the trenches, and “trust in love” to try to keep his family together and maybe—just maybe—make one more good record.
Preceding the screening, the Wayfarer is hosting a community potluck—its inaugural event—on the premises, “A gathering place where people can talk about movies, food, and life,” according to General Manager Clayton Stamper.”
